HAITIAN CONFLICT
AS a result of luck, fate and free will my friends and I were able to fly to Nassau, Bahamas in January, 2008. Long story short, 14 Las Vegas models were invited to stay at the Atlantis Resort and hang out at Michael Jordan’s Celebrity Golf Tournament events. My friends Alex Schmit, Rocky Fain, Akilah Taylor, Andrea Tiede and I were among that group. Alex (who is also the pastor of Soulstice, a church in Las Vegas) had a contact in the Bahamas through a missionary organization. Pastor Basil was that contact. With his help we were able to spend our days documenting Nassau and the plight of Haitian refugees via camera and video. This collection of photos is the result of that week.
